Tom Moore is a pastor on staff at Crossway Bible Church in Franklin, Indiana, where he oversees the church's facilities. Before that he spent five years as the facility director of a private school in Georgia. He also co-founded AFC, an Indianapolis commercial cleaning company that serves churches, schools and offices across the metro.
He founded WiseHQ after years of running buildings on spreadsheets, sticky notes and a shared inbox. The facility software he found was designed and priced for hospitals rather than for churches and schools, and it was written by people who had never worked on the front lines of maintenance.
He writes about the unglamorous parts of keeping a building open: inspection deadlines that arrive without warning, boilers that fail on the coldest Sunday of the year, and how far a volunteer maintenance team can go.
